The much awaited day has arrived; as auctions for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be conducted today in West Bengal's Kolkata city. The eight franchises are expected to be restrained in their spending and keeping eyes on the best players.
In total there are, 332 cricketers (186 Indian, 146 overseas players) who will go under the hammer. As per Economic Times report, this year's auction will not be a big one as only 73 slots will be filled by the eight franchises while the 29 of them can be foreign buys.
There are few players to watch out for during this auction: Afghanistan's Noor Ahmad, who is the youngest name in auction this time. He has a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Looking at domestic cricketers, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Priyam Garg, along with R Sai Kishore and Ishan Porel are few among the many to be looking into. All of them come with a base price of Rs 20 lakh.
